I was on the train today while something struck me abt this appreciation thingy. I mopped the floor today and I was thinking abt how it has always been my mum doing the job until the recent years. And recently my dad has slimmed down quite a lot.

Have you people stop to wonder why do we always treasure the people until they are gone?
Have you stopped for a sec and realise how much our parents have aged?

I have....I'm the youngest of the family...When I've turned 16.....I have started to take the role of a daughter, a grand daughter, a niece....and everything. When I look at teenagers nowadays, I feel sorry for them. Am I too
conservative or are they spending too much $ and simply ignorant? I have to save for my wedding, my parents future medical bills.....Dun laugh at me....It may seem a long time but time flies, doesn't it? I've always been the love of my parents. They dote on me a lot even though they don't say it. They express through the food they prepare, the concern for me, the favorite food they bought.....and so many more....

If u haven't stopped to watch how much ur parents have aged, I urge you to do so. U will start feeling the heartache...thinking about how much they have done for us. If we do not start appreciating them, when they are gone it's too late to regret. Start changing the attitude towards them, spend more time with them, stop and have a chat and show ur concern. Growing old is a lonely process.
